Inside the research

When the selected sentence answers a different question

The 2023 notes record eight searches represented by the same two FAQ sentences, including a tax answer surfaced for a legality question. The review asks whether the sentence selected from a page actually resolves the user’s question; it does not provide gambling-law advice.

A dated opening answer appeared in the rerun

In the November 2026 rerun, snippets more often reflected dated answers from the main body. The study also observed conflicting counts in different results. Those numbers can reflect different definitions, dates and scopes, so a concise sentence still needs accurate qualifications.

An observation, not a causal test

The page changed between the two observations, and the study does not establish who changed it or whether the change caused its positions. The useful editorial question is where the supported answer lives and whether its conditions survive extraction.
